Sizzle is a black & tan Cocker Spaniel who was found in dreadful condition.  She was near exhaustion from dragging round with "hanging mats" and her  little pads were peeling from the knotted hair between her toes.  Fresh cool water and a light meal helped immensely but the quick grooming was what really brought the life back in her eyes.  She feels soooo good now that she didn't even complain about the bows on her ears.

Raina is a smart dog ... a Lab mix  with a super soft plushy short coat who loves to be with people ... any people.  She would make a lousy guard dog if you are hoping to protect your property, but she is likely to keep all other dogs out.  We don't know how she feels about cats, but she if she is forced to share a yard with another dog, he will have to agree that she can be in charge.

Little Lizzie is a 5 year old Poodle/Jack Russell Terrier mix.  She is a smart little girl who wins people over with lots of kisses.  She knows basic commands and was a happy, seemingly well-adjusted little dog until her family moved from their home on several acres to a small condo.  She has no place to run and romp and has become irritable with their other dog and while she tolerates the young grandchildren, she is particularly grumpy when they are around.

Correction .... Lambchop has not been adopted ... she was sent to a foster because she was uncomfortable on our concrete floors.

Lambchop is an aging Golden Retriever.  The vet estimates her to be 10-12 years old.  She was abandoned with Badger (her "brother") without even a note.  This is hard to understand considering what good condition they were in ... and was especially confusing when we learned what good dogs they...

Liberty has been adopted!

LIberty is a good dog ... but her little underbite makes her look like an angry Chihuahua.  She is probably a Pug/Chihuahua mix and she is probably a lost dog who will never find her family because she had no identification tag or microchip.  Her "hold" time is up so she is now available for adoption.  How sad.

Zoe has been adopted!

Zoe is a dog who doesn't expect much.  She is the mommy dog of the Cross Post Pups .  The puppies have recovered from their dreadful beginning and have all been adopted, but Zoe is still struggling with her transition.  She has recovered physically but she is still very much affected by the mistreatment she has endured probably for her entire life.  She is so frightened we cannot even get her to walk outside to potty.  She must ...
