Meet Mac
I’m a handsome English bulldog mix who was surrendered to PETSinc for adoption. For more information or to meet me, please call the adoption shelter (803-739-9333)
ADOPTION SUCCESS RECOMMENDATIONS: Although a happy home-worthy furbaby, emotionally and relationally, Mac is a special needs pup. It is strongly preferred that his new home has solid bulldog experience. Young kids/adolescents have proven too overwhelming for him, so his new home should be teenagers/adults only. Mac has a lot of energy and plays rough with other dogs we’ve introduced him to; therefore, we recommend Mac be an only dog or as a companion for a larger female dog who can keep up with this guy. Introductions/meet and greet/socialization observations with another dog is a must, regardless. He will succeed and feel most secure in a calm household that does not have a lot of people coming and going, as he is very protective of his chosen people. Mac is still a puppy and needs quite a bit of exercise and playtime. His people or person need to be no-nonsense, structured, be able to set appropriate boundaries, and patient. He actually seems to have some prior exposure to doing agility courses.
