Meet Donnie

This sweet baby was left overnight tied to our front gate with just a bag of food. He was about 6 months old; and as you can see, skin and bones. What you can’t see is that his paw pads were blistered raw and hair was missing from his hind legs.

We named him Donnie.

Longevity

PETSinc was the first non-municipal shelter established in Lexington and Richland counties. For 33 years, we have been dedicated to helping as many dogs and cats as possible; rehoming more than 1,500 each year.

Comprehensive Services

PETSinc provides affordable care to serve the medical needs of your pet and our rescues with our Low-Cost Vet Hospital and Clinic, Pharmacy services, and our Alternative Medicine Clinic providing rehabilitation and holistic care.

Rescue and Rehoming

PETSinc addresses both the physical and emotional needs of animals with our staff and volunteers spending as much time as possible with our rescues. Tender care and socialization is paramount to giving them their best chance to live their best life.

Mobile Vet Clinic

PETSinc has expanded it’s service area with our low-cost mobile unit to provide convenient access to services to keep your dog and cat as healthy as possible with vaccines, preventative care, and exams.

Microchipping

PETSinc strives to ensure the safety and well-being of your pet with our microchipping program. All pets adopted through PETSinc are microchipped to facilitate a safe return if they get lost.

Life-Long Adoptions

PETSinc’s adoption staff work tirelessly to match the right dog or cat with the adoptive person or family’s lifestyle. We offer meet and greets to give our rescues their best chance to see if they are a good fit with the potential adopter.

Training & Socialization

Our on-site trainer is certified as a Canine Trainer and Behavior Specialist and works to improve our dogs’ adoptability. We have volunteers who spend time with our cats and kittens to enhance their socialization.

No-Kill Shelter

PETSinc works closely with other shelters to save as many animals as possible and helps our community when they find abandoned animals or need to surrender their own pet.

Wonderful Memories

I remember my husband surprising me and our kids when he pulled into the parking lot of PETSinc. I had no idea we would be adding a new member to our family that day. Turned out to be the best “New Years resolution” I ever made.

Moto grew up to be my husband’s best long distance running partner, my son’s and daughter’s very best friend, and our family’s #1 protector. If he wasn’t out running the critters away, you’d be sure to find him snuggled under the covers! Moto was my heart and soul dog, and my family is so thankful we had a little over 12 years of wonderful memories with him!

A Sweet Lap Cat

I came to PETSinc on a Saturday with my two friends and quickly found there were a bunch of kittens ready for adoption. But then, my friend shouted from across the room, “What about this one?” He was older and bigger, and the only one who had a name tag and characteristics listed on his pen: sweet male kitten, very affectionate, lap cat.

When I took him out of his cage and picked him up, he purred so loud, and that was it. I’m now in Charleston, married, and Oliver just celebrated his 15th birthday. He never stopped being a sweet lap cat like his description read all those years ago. I couldn’t have been more happy I adopted him that day.
